In the Department of Teaching and Learning, we lead that charge by providing engaging instruction, diverse curriculum and robust professional development for our teaching staff.

Commitment to Quality Instruction
South Lane School District is committed to providing high-quality instruction to students. We ensure that our teachers and instructional assistants are highly qualified to work with students. We are very careful regarding who we hire and place in classrooms in all our schools.

All of our teachers hold an Oregon teaching License, and all of our instructional assistants have passed an academic skills test. In addition, we monitor and evaluate their effectiveness every year.
